Flash Fiction- Trip to a palace

castle

Susan loved reading books with King, Queen, Prince, and Princess and so she was bubbling with energy when her parents mentioned that they were going to see Windsor Palace during the weekend.

She wanted her best friend Maria to come along with her since they both shared the fantasy of seeing a palace together. She kept begging her parents to ask Maria’s parents so Maria could come along with them. They had to travel by car from Manchester to Windsor and it was about three and half hour drive from their hometown.

Susan and Maria along with Susan’s parents started driving early in the morning on Saturday so they could reach the palace before 12 pm and have plenty of time to see around. Susan was bouncing in her seat when she realized they were close to the palace. After they parked their car and got an admission ticket to the palace, both Susan and Maria were giggling excitedly when they set foot in the palace.
