Tax Day for 2017

I  am pretty sure that all of u should be working towards filing your tax return. Every one knows that April 15 is the tax deadline date every year. Did u know that this year tax deadline is April 18 instead of April 15.

It’s because April 15 th comes on a Saturday. When the deadline falls on a weekend the IRS moves the deadline to the next business day which would be Monday in this case, but the deadline is Tuesday April 18th. The reason being Monday is Emancipation day observed in Washington DC, and it’s a holiday over there. Thus we get 2 additional days. But do make use of these two extra dates and plan on filing your taxes on time. Because IRS don’t like late tax returns and they start charging penalties for any money you owe them starting very next day.
