Cauliflower and peas gravy

Ingredients 

Cauliflower- 1 small

Green peas- 1/2 cup

Olive oil

Onion-2 medium

Garlic-3 gloves

Ginger- small piece

Green chilli – 3

Tomatoes -3 

Red chilly powder-1/4 tablespoon

Corriander powder- 1 tablespoon

Cumin powder – 1 tablespoon

Turmeric powder- 1/4 tablespoon

Fresh  cut cilantro 

Garma masala powder-1/4 tablespoon

Salt to taste

Step-1

Cut florets as shown below and Clean cauliflower in salt water,  and add 1/2 cup of fresh peas or frozen peas into a microwave container with a lid and microwave for about 6 to 7 mins until the vegetable is cooked and soft.

Caution:  Don’t over cook cauliflower because when you add into gravy all the flower will break down.

Step-2

 Cut onion, garlic, ginger and green chilies and sauté them with olive oil in a pan, until onion is golden color. Then add cut tomatoes to pan. Add  salt so it will help cook the masala down.



Step-3

 Once tomatoes is cooked add coriander powder and cumin powder each 1 tablespoon. Add red chilli powder 1/4 tablespoon to the masala and cook.



Step-4

Add 1/4 tablespoon of turmeric to the above masala. Cook well until raw flavor goes away by adding little bit of water so the masala does not stick to the pan.



Step-5

 Onces the masala is cooked add the cooked cauliflower and peas . Mix well and pour water little by little. Until the masala dissolves and gravy is thick.

Caution: Don’t pour too much water , the gravy will become too liquid.



Step-6

Finally add 1/4 tablespoon of Garam masala to the gravy and mix well. Put chopped up cilantro and cover the gravy with a lid and keep the stove on medium flame and allow the gravy to come to a boil so all masala you have add gets cooked well. Enjoy with rice or chapatti’s.
