Kurkuri Bhindi( crispy okra)

Kurkuri Bhindi

This is an amazing dish, my family members love, As soon as I start taking out my first batch of crispy okras from oil and start the second batch, the first batch would be consumed.

Ingredients

Fresh Okra- 1 pound

oil to fry

salt

chat masala- 1 teaspoon

red chilly powder – 1/2 teaspoon

Step-1

Take 1 lb of fresh okra and wash them, dry them on a towel and wipe them clean before you start to slit them.

Step-2

After wiping the okra dry, cut through the head of okra and make two slits through the okra without cutting till the end of the okra.

Step-4

Take a deep bottom pan and add oil covering half of the pan. Start heating the oil, before adding the fresh okra for deep fry. Add okra little by little into the oil. It will take about 10 to 12 minutes for one batch to come out of the oil. Make sure to drain all excess oil.

Step-5

In a small plate or bowl add 1 teaspoon of chaat masala, 1/2 teaspoon of dry red chilly powder, 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Mix them well.

Step-6

Add the masala you mixed in step 5 to the fried okra from step 4 and mix well. Serve hot as a snack, as a side for your dinner. This can be a great item for small parties. The reason I say that is it takes time to make it but, get over very quickly.
