Arrival at Milaidhoo Island
Leaving towards the island on the boat
Both of us got onto the boat which came to receive us from the island. The boat was amazingly comfortable, but the 15 minutes ride to the Resort, was very choppy and rough because the waves were very high and at times the waves would go over the boat.
Finally inside the boat, the interior of the boat looks amazing.
We are given a warm welcome by the Milaidhoo island staff member’s at the island . They received us with a cold towel and a nice King Coconut water drink ( tender coconut) to refresh. We also were assigned an island host, she helped us make our stay very memorable.
After the reception, the manager gave us an option to choose the place we wanted to stay in. We had booked a Villa on the water, the manager gave us the choice of Beach villa as a free upgrade. We decided to check both places out and then decide. Our Island host took us to both the places and we choose Beach Villa, the place was amazing. We had our own private beach and amazing swimming pool.
The room we stayed in was decorated in White, Turquoise Blue and Light Blue color.
View of the beach from our room.
View from the backyard, is amazing even while it was raining. Weather for being on an island was very gracious, when we checked in at the resort the weather was cloudy and windy and the next day morning it was raining pretty hard and windy and then during the day it was very nice so we could go out to the beach and walk around the island.
I will cover exploring the island in my next post. These posts take a lot of time since I have to go through a large amount of photos we took.
