I travelled along with my husband in Sri Lanka by train from a place called Nanu-Oya to Ella. It was a 4 hours long ride.

All passenger who were tourists were seated in a separate observation car with big windows, through which we could see the scenic beauty of Sri Lanka.

Passenger’s got to get down

The train stopped in order to detach some of the goods wagon and had to change the engine. So they stopped for 15 minutes and so the passenger got some time to get down and stretch their legs.

Every time there was a scenic view, the Train Conductor would come and mention which side we should look out for the view.

There were about 20 to 25 tunnels we should have gone through in the 4 hours duration of our ride. Some tunnels are big and some are very small. And Finally around 1:30 pm we reach Ella.
